Fall 2023 NSERC Doctoral Award Competition Instructions:

Application Deadline: Students are required to submit their applications in the NSERC On-line System no later than 11:59 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2023*.

Fall 2023 Vanier CGS-Doctoral Competition:

Important Deadlines:

• Tuesday, September 6, 2023, 10:00 am – Stage 1 Letter of Intent (LOI) package is due to SGS.

• Thursday, October 5, 2023, 10:00 am – Stage 2 endorsed candidate applications are due to SGS.

• Wednesday, October 15, 2023, 11:59 pm – McMaster Internal ResearchNet deadline (for students): Stage 2 endorsed candidates will submit a complete application on ResearchNet.

• Tuesday, November 1, 2023 (8:00 pm Eastern Time) – Vanier Deadline McMaster must forward their selected nominations to the Vanier CGS program.

2023 Canada Graduate Scholarship Master’s Program Competition:

Application deadline:  December 1, 2023*

Ontario Graduate Scholarship:

 If you apply for the CIHR or NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship M.Sc competition, then you will automatically enter the OGS central competition.  The  Chemical Biology program may have a separate OGS internal competition, which will be announced at a later date once the results of the central competition are known.

*Please note that the internal deadlines are typically a few days earlier than the actual application deadline because we wish to check all applications are complete and meet the eligibility requirements prior to final submission. Internal deadlines are announced by e-mail every year in advance.
